The Holy prophet  says:

The Last Day will not be established until …time will pass quickly. (Bukhari)

Also the prophet says:

Great distances will be traversed in short spans of time. (Ahmad, Musnad)

Long ago, people didn't know nothing to travel by but on horses and camels,  people used to take months to cut long distance, the journey from Moracco to Saudia Arabia took one full year by Hajjs, thanks to modern means of communication man can cut long distances in short time. Prophet Muammad predicted the appearance of modern means of communication, this fact is also stressed in the Holy Quran and even there is a refrence to modern submarines.

Prophet Muhammd predicts the invention of mic and microphone.

The Last Hour will not come before the end of a man's whip speak to him. (Tirmidhi)

People used to dry the slaughtered animal's tails to use as whip or something to drive insects away, these dried tails ends with knots, when you look at this dried animal tails with its end which looks much like a knot, you will discover how much it looks like microphones and tails.
