Mohammed and Monotheism
Unlike all his contemporaries, Mohammed, the young man never prostrate himself to an idol, nor did he participate in such ceremonies given to the gods before he was a appointed a prophet. Since he was appointed a prophet till his death, he took upon his shoulder to impart the message of monotheism to the world, he launched a sever attack on idolatry and all forms of ascribing other gods beside God. He had to face all the world civilization equipped with the heavy weapons with handful believers till he within only twenty three years could get back the Arabian Peninsula to monotheism. Prophet Muhammad, not only fought the physical idols, but also defeated the internal idols that resides in everyone's heart .he fought hypocrisy or minor polytheism; in minor polytheism some people do righteous acts just to make people think that they are righteous- Allah is not in their heart. In Islam, monotheism is not only confined to God's, it goes beyond this limit to the monotheism of Allah's fine attributes and also the monotheism of act, a term which means to ascribe everything to Allah's will, nothing in the universe goes against Allah's well. To be a Moslem you should proclaim that that there is no gods save Allah and to be on the right path you should say
Monotheism has a deep profound effect on the human soul, acts and behavior. Moreover, in Islam if one has to swear he must swear by Allah, the prophet says" whoever has to swear, he must swear by Allah or to stop swearing."
