The story of Derar Mosque
The story of The Derar Mosque is one of machinations that aimed at targeting the new doctrine and undermining it, moreover; it was a building where the hypocrites could convene in, attracting more people to their band and working in cahoots with foreign enemies who were lying in ambush to swoop over Islam when possible. This mosque was built upon the advice of A'mer Al-Raheb. He was a pagan who espoused Christianity and mixed Christianity with paganism. Upon the arrival of the prophet at Madina, he raced to Mekka to entice the idol-worshippers against the prophet, his notorious efforts were among the reasons of the recurrent attacks of the idolaters of the nascent Islamic state, and, to hurt the prophet physically, he dug a hole on the way of the prophet and the prophet fell in it. The prophet exposed him to Islam but he refused and travelled to Hercules, the Roman king, to entice him to launch a war against the prophet and he could convince him. To make internal disturbances among the Moslem rows, he ordered the hypocrites to build a building giving it the façade of a mosque to facilitate their meetings. In order to give this mosque Islamic legality, they invited the prophet to lead a prayer in it but the prophet, being unable to do that because he was preparing his troops to abort external attack, promised them he would do that after the return from his battle. The story of Derar Mosque exposed On the prophet's way back to Madina from the battle of Tabouk, he received some revelations which divulged the machination of notorious Mosque of Tabouk . The verses says:
Upon receiving this verse the prophet sent some of his companions to burn it down, though his march to Madin back from the battle would take one day to be completed.
